Seems this is happening all too often these days. Someone at BlackBerry got a bit anxious and pushed a product page for the BlackBerry Neon live. Not only do we get confirmation on some of the rumored specs, but we also get our clearest set of images yet of the thing.
As previous evidence suggested, it seems Alcatel built this thing for the Waterloo company. Reports said it would be loosely based on the Alcatel Idol 4, and while its backside looked different enough from that device to make us reconsider, these full frontals and other angles have us believing it. They even have that odd left-aligned microUSB port on the underside of the thing.
That’s not to say the device doesn’t look good — Alcatel really stepped their design game up with the Idol 4 — but we were hoping for something a little more original. Moving on, we also have some specs to consider:
Not the most exciting spec sheet in the world, but we did always expect it to be on the affordable side so we’re not going to knock it. Let’s just hope it isn’t as overpriced as the BlackBerry PRIV was when it first launched. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long for BlackBerry to formally detail the phone as the company said we would be hearing more about their late 2016 offerings this week.
