Leaked renders and 3D mockups are nice and all, but we’re always happy to see upcoming devices flaunted on video. Someone was able to catch the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 in the wild as it was being tested by an accessory manufacturer. The leak was courtesy of retailer MobileFun, who says Olixar’s Curved Glass Screen Protector was the test subject in question here.
Admittedly, the video isn’t really that action-packed. We only get an angled shot of the device’s front side, though we do clearly see it has the curved display rumors said to expect, and that this is likely the standard dark blue model that Samsung likes for flagships.
Beyond the video (embedded above), we also get a new press render of the shot in Blue Coral. The render shows a matching S-Pen drawing lines on the display and a very vivid shot of components like its curved display and a potential USB-C port. We won’t need to wait long for Samsung to trot these things out officially as the company has set a big announcement date for August 2nd.
