Google today released Android Wear 2.0 Dev Preview 2 for tinkerers and developers to check out. The changelog isn’t huge, but there’s some interesting stuff in tow.
One of the biggest additions is the ability for developers to implement the use of wrist gestures in their apps. Wrist gestures have been part of Android Wear for around a year now, but it’s only been available for system navigation. Look forward to your favorite Android apps getting this functionality down the line.
Google has also enhanced the wearable drawer feature that allows apps to implement more menu overlays, such as a settings button or quick settings menu. The company has added more customization hooks, easier ways to preview wearable drawer content, and more.
Want to check it out? Google has all you need to get started right here for the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition or the Huawei Watch. Remember that this is a developer preview so things may not work as 100% intended.
