Huawei is slowly becoming one of the top manufacturers in the world, and that claim is solidified after the company posted its Q1 2016 results. When compared to Q1 2015, Huawei experienced an 65% increase, with an official number of 28.3 million smartphones shipped. However, that total does not include the recently released Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus which did not fall into the Q1 results. Huawei did claim to ship almost 3 million of both devices, which is a great start for Q2.
The company was rumored to have changed its total sales target for 2016 from 140 million down to 120 million, but the company has denied those claims. If Huawei meets the 140 million target, it would experience a growth of 30% when compared to 2015. Although Huawei is still growing, it has already become the third largest manufacturer in market share, behind Samsung and Apple.
