The OnePlus 3 has been highly touted since its release a few weeks ago. Our very own Chris Chavez has one and has fallen in love with the device so far. When the device was announced, it was only expected to come in two colors: Soft Gold and Graphite. Then a screenshot of OnePlus‘ website showed a red option that had yet to be announced, but featured the same metal body with a red, anodized finish.
Those rumors began swirling so much to the point that OnePlus had to come out and ruin all the fun for everyone. The manufacturer reached out to the folks at GSMArena and confirmed that although the landing page option had appeared on the site, the company would not be offering the OnePlus 3 in red and the listing was a mistake.
