Google is working on a support app for Nexus devices

One of the things that’s not so great about Nexus devices is the support you get when something goes wrong. Google has a history of dropping the ball when it comes to customer support. According to a rumor from Android Police, that’s all about to change.

The rumor claims that Google is working on a Support app for Nexus devices. The app will be similar to Amazon’s Mayday button. Users will be able to quickly get help for whatever problem they have. You’ll be able to share your screen with customer support so they can see the problem you’re having. That’s really all we know at this point.

It’s not a stretch to think about other features that could be available. Things like screen annotations, live audio, and more. Support is a pretty big deal when it comes to word of mouth and return customers. It’s also very important for people who aren’t great with technology. Getting Nexus devices in more hands is Google’s goal, and Support could help make that happen. The app is currently in “Dogfood” testing (a.k.a. Google employees are using it). No word on when we could see it.
