Earlier this week, Xiaomi gave everyone a little tease as to a potential smart bike the company would be releasing, and that bike has been unveiled. The Xiaomi Mi QiCycle is a foldable electric bike that has the same batteries that are used by Tesla Motors, as well as a Bluetooth connection to use the accompanying Xiaomi app.
This isn’t the first smart bike to be shown off in 2016, as LeEco released the LeEco Le Syvrac earlier this year. There are more than just a few differences between the two, with the Mi QiCycle being considered the “budget” option.
Key Features:
The Xiaomi Mi QiCycle has started its crowdfunding phase, and interested parties can back this project for just 2,999 yuan ($460). Unfortunately, it will be very difficult to get ahold of the Mi QiCycle if you live outside of China. It’s expected that Xiaomi will not make this available outside of China, but if you happen to know someone, they can use Xiaomi’s “Mijia” app to back the crowdfunding campaign.
