SanDisk releases Dual USB-C/USB-A flash drive for compatible smartphones

If you’ve ever been in a pinch and needed to quickly transfer files between your computer and USB Type-C device, then you’ll need to check out this new USB drive from SanDisk. At Computex 2016, there are a lot of nifty new accessories that were introduced and this is no different.

Since USB Type-C is growing so rapidly, SanDisk wanted to stay ahead of the curve and provide a useful accessory to those who need to transfer files easily.

SanDisk announced the SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive USB Type-C flash drive. This flash drive will plug into your USB Type-C computer or phone and allow for fast transfers with its USB 3.1 compatibility.

“By 2020 we expect that 44 percent of all mobile phones sold worldwide will include a USB-C connector, that’s about 800% growth over the next four years”

There is also an accompanying app that will allow users to easily manage the content on their devices. SanDisk Memory Zone will automatically launch when the flash drive is plugged in, giving you quick access to any pertinent files.

The flash drives are available today, starting at $19.99 for the 16GB version and going all the way up to 128GB for $69.99. There are a few different retailers that have these already, but if you were looking to get one from Amazon, you’re out of luck for now. All variants are marked as sold out, with no clue as to when more stock will arrive.
