Sony launches its sub-$300 option, the Xperia E5

0

Although there has been much speculation as to whether Sony would be abandoning all their devices aside from the Xperia X lineup, the company has just launched the Sony Xperia E5. Here’s a list of what the Xperia E5 has to offer:

Specs:

  • 5-inch 720p display
  • MediaTek Quad-Core MTK6735 processor
  • 1.5GB RAM
  • 16GB Storage
  • MicroSD card support up to 200GB
  • 13MP rear-camera
  • 5MP front-camera
  • 2,700mAh battery

When looking at the Xperia E5 and comparing it to the upcoming Xperia XA, another budget option from Sony, you won’t find too many differences. The biggest difference is in the processor, both of which are provided by MediaTek. Additionally, the XA features an extra 512MB of RAM when compared to the E5, which may be a small benefit.

As for pricing and availability, the Xperia E5 will cost less than $300, and is expected to launch sometime in June.
