Samsung schedules June 2nd event in New York
Riding the success of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, Samsung is gearing up to throw a bash in New York for some sort of new product launch. Press invites have already begun going out and before you get too excited, it’s not an “Unpacked” event so we don’t expect to see any new Galaxy devices like the Note 6 sorry, Galaxy Note 7.
What we are likely see is the recently leaked Samsung Gear Fit 2 and maybe even that Samsung Gear VR controller that leaked awhile back. Samsung’s wording in the invite could be the biggest hint:
“Experience how Samsung’s devices work together to create a Galaxy of Possibility.”
Yup, sounds like accessories to us. In either case, musical artist Diplo will be in attendance and the event doesn’t appear to be live streamed, so you’ll have to get your info the traditional bloggy way. It’s possible Samsung could have a few more hidden surprises, but we’ll try to not get our hopes up. The festivities kick off at 5PM (ET) on June 2nd, so mark your calendars.
