OxygenOS 3.0.1 beta for the OnePlus 2 now available, final Marshmallow build imminent
OxygenOS, OnePlus’ skinned version of Android, has received a second beta/community build. Following the company’s first beta build of their version of Android M in March, OxygenOS 3.0.1 introduces several new improvements in preparation for a stable release.
The downside of this beta build is that it is only available for the OnePlus 2 and must be manually flashed onto your phone. Hopefully, when the stable build is available for all of the OnePlus phones, the update will be available over the air for all customers.
Below are some of the changes that can be found in OxygenOS 3.0.1 community build:
- Enhanced Doze mode to better optimize battery usage
- Improvements to the fingerprint sensor for faster and more accurate recognition
- Added clear process in the recents screen for the option to remove background processes
- Added feature in recents screen to allow you to lock apps that you don’t want removed with clear all
- Bug fix in network operator selection to ensure the selection sticks to your choice
- Swiftkey update to version 6.3.3
- Added back display color balance
- Updated carrier name mapping
- Camera improvements including bug fixes for OIS
