Polaroid TV Featured

Polaroid has a knack for turning heads (remember its smart phone that kinda flopped?), but now it’s turning heads again in a pretty awesome way. The company has announced plans to release a 4K smart TV later this summer with Google Cast functionality built-in. But that’s not where the awesome-ness stops.

Available in sizes ranging from 43-inches all the way up to 65-inches, these Google cast-ready TV’s will start at only $500. If you want something a bit larger than 65-inches, Polaroid also plans to release a 75-inch version this fall that will run you about $1,900. Each TV has 4K resolution, so you can stream all your favorite content, including Netflix, in glorious 4K without spending your life savings on it.

Features:

  • 4x the resulution of a full HDTV (3840×2160)
  • More than 8 million pixels for exceptional clarity
  • 120hz refresh rates
  • HDMI 2.0
  • Built-in HEVC codec
  • HDMI inputs featuring HDMI 2.0 for optimal digital video and audio performance
  • Upgraded bezel design with a contemporary TV stand
  • Google Cast allows you to stream for a smartTV solution

Polaroid hasn’t given a specific release date, but if you hit the link below, you can head over and sign up to receive emails with updates as to when this series of TV’s will become available. The ability to easily cast whatever content is on your mobile device to your TV is something that is becoming a main-stay for even those non-techie folks out there, and this is another way to make that possible.
