Rumor has it the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is going to have 6GB of RAM. If Samsung had any hope of combating those rumors to save their big surprise, then they’ve wiped it all away with this announcement.
Samsung has revealed a new 10nm LPDDR4 DRAM stick that has a capacity of — you guessed it — 6GB. We’re not sure if the company has already entered mass production phases, but it’s not unreasonable to suggest that this timing is perfect for introduction the company’s 2nd-half flagship smartphone.
The Samsung Galaxy Note line has always been a launching pad for Samsung’s most innovative smartphone features. We didn’t see much of that for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 as it was largely ordinary aside from its S-Pen. They sure seem keen on returning to their bar-pushing ways with the Note 6, though.
