Only 3 specific Chromebooks will support Android apps at launch
We just heard that Chromebooks will be getting the Google Play Store in all its glory and the feature should launch in June through the developer channel. If you’re hoping to be one of the first to try it out, you’ll need a compatible Chromebook. To start, that will only include 3 :
Acer Chromebook R11
Asus Chromebook Flip
Google Chromebook Pixel (2015)
Fortunately, Google is motivated to support the entirety of Chromebooks and their support page suggests that dozens of Chromebooks will be supported before the year ends.
