Thanks to Evan Blass (aka @evleaks), we now have an official press render of the upcoming OnePlus 3. The image is in line with the leaked photos what have surfaced over the past few weeks. As we’ve mentioned before, the body of the OnePlus 3 pulls a lot of design elements from the HTC 10 and other HTC devices from the past. We’re not saying that OnePlus set out to copy HTC, but it’s clear where the OnePlus design team is getting its inspiration from.
As for specs, Blass also shared that the OnePlus 3 will be equipped with an AMOLED display and a 3,000 mAh battery. Based on what we’ve learned from previous rumors, the OnePlus 3 will also sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 16MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera, 5.5-inch 1080p display and a fingerprint scanner.
These specs put the OnePlus 3 on the same starting line as most other 2016 flagship devices, but if the rumors are true, OnePlus plans to sell its new phone significantly less than the $600+ price point of its competitors. There’s no official word from OnePlus as to when the phone will be unveiled, but rumor has it that the OnePlus 3 will go on sale sometime in June for a little more than $300.
