We’re a week away from Motorola and Lenovo unveiling their latest devices at an event in India. It’s there we expect to see the all new Motorola Moto G4 and the Motorola Moto G4 Plus, but if you were looking for a sneak peek at these devices ahead of their official unveiling, this latest leak should help.
Two eBay listings have popped up on eBay showing two different front panel display parts for an unknown device. Well, not totally unknown. The listings claim they’re for the “Motorola Moto G4 (Moto G 2016),” with the first listing being a black panel and the second a white panel. These are the full display assemblies aka front panels, which include connectors and everything.
What leads us to believe it’s from Motorola the panel itself. In one of the photos the backside of the panel clearly reads “MOTO 5.5 FHD_FPC_VER0.3 Designed:20151221” on the connector ribbon.
Something else worth pointing out is a major difference between the two. While the black panel has a square hole for what we would assume would be the fingerprint scanner, the white assembly does not. The hole matches up with previous leaks that have sprouted up in the past. It would be safe to assume that the black variant would be for the slightly higher-priced Moto G4 Plus, while the white variant would be for the regular Moto G4, something that also reaffirms previous rumors.
If you’re feeling ambitious, you could purchase these front panels, for only $69 USD each, but you’ll need to move fast as they could be taken down any second. It’s entirely possible that these could be prototypes that someone wanted to get rid of, but we’ll have to wait until Motorola and Lenovo officially unveil the devices before being able to come to any hard conclusions.
