OnePlus has been fairly quiet since the launch of the OnePlus X, but that hasn’t stopped the rumor mill from churning. The latest report states that the latest device from OnePlus, the OnePlus 3, will be launching with a price of 1,999 Yuan, or $310.
OnePlus hasn’t started their usual onslaught of teasers for the OnePlus 3 despite the device being scheduled to arrive as soon as July. As for what could be under the hood?
- 5-inch 1080p display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 820
- 6GB RAM
- 64GB Storage
- 16MP camera with 4K video, 7MP front camera
- Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC
The rumor also states that there could be two different devices launching when OnePlus makes its announcement later this year. So the specs listed above would more than likely be for the “flagship” edition of the OnePlus 3, with the base model featuring only 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
While these specs are from the benchmarking teams at Antutu and GFXBench, we wouldn’t be surprised if OnePlus pulled a 180 and did something completely different. It’ll be interesting to see what the “Flagship Killer” manufacturer has up its sleeves for 2016. In terms of what software will be running on the OnePlus 3, we are expecting to see Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a new version of OxygenOS laid over top.
