Whether it’s an upgrade or a replacement device, if you’re looking to buy a new Android phone without breaking the bank, there are a few options available to you. You could always go for a mid-range device that launched recently, or reach back into 2014 for a 2-year old flagship. Often times these will perform much better than today’s low to mid-range devices and typically cost around the same price.
Take the Motorola Moto X 2014, which has been discounted to $200 for the 32GB model. Not a bad deal considering the phone still performs great, although battery life is slightly limited. If you’re really looking to splurge, you can even get a few premium upgrades like a wood back for $25 more dollars, or even upgrade the phone’s internal storage to 64GB for an extra $50.
The storage upgrade is only available on the Pure Edition model which, unlike the 2015 model, only supports GSM networks like AT&T or T-Mobile. It’s the only model available for this deal, so don’t bother if you’re on Verizon or Sprint. Also worth noting is many color options are no longer available, but it seems wood and leather are still good.
If you’re looking for a solid Android device for yourself or perhaps the kids, you may want to give the Moto X 2014 a shot. Link provided below.
