SWIFTKEY’S WORD PREDICTION AND AUTOCORRECT NOW WORKS PERFECT WHEN TYPING IN ALL CAPS
YOU EVER BEEN SO MAD YOU HAD TO MESSAGE SOMEONE IN ALL CAPS? OR PERHAPS YOU WERE SO “OMG” EXCITED ABOUT SOMETHING, LOWERCASE WORDS JUST DIDN’T CUT IT. If so, you’d know how difficult it could be typing in all caps on virtual keyboards. Because proper grammar dictates that caps should generally be used for acronyms or initialisms, most keyboard apps have followed suit.
In a recent SwiftKey update, the keyboard replacement app is finally allowing users to express themselves however they like, which now includes applying the app’s leading word prediction and autocorrect features even WHEN TYPING IN ALL CAPS. Although these features were technically supposed to be there, they were pretty badly broken which had SwiftKey looking into it for quite some time. Additionally, when typing normally (lower case), you can convert predictions/auto corrections to all caps simply by double tapping the shift key (just a little pro-tip for ya).
