Watch the first ever live 360-degree video tonight on YouTube

360-degree videos have become very popular in the last couple of years. The introduction of Google Cardboard and more powerful VR devices have created a need for these immersive videos. Watching a 360-degree video puts you in control of the camera and you feel like you’re really there. What if you could be there in real time, too?

Google and The Verge have teamed up to do the first every live 360-degree video on YouTube. The music event will feature the musician DΔWN. You’ll have a front-row seat to experience the show as it’s happening from the comfort of your own home. You can tune into the event tonight (4/20) at 5PM Pacific Time. Grab your VR headset and some popcorn and enjoy the show.

If you’re interested, there will be a live Q&A after the show with DΔWN. Anyone plan on tuning in to the event? Are you excited about the future of live 360-degree videos?
