T-Mobile’s Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is finally getting its Android 6.0 Marshmallow update

Samsung’s most recent Galaxy Note device is finally getting loaded up with Marshmallow at T-Mobile. The carrier is now pushing out the Android 6.0 update to users of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

The update comes in at a hefty 1.4GB, which means you’ll want to be on WiFi and make sure you have a healthily-charged battery before beginning the process. You should see it pop up as version N920TUVV2DPD1.

Aside from the usual Android 6.0 Marshmallow changes, you’re getting the April security patch. Oh, and here’s something you might be happy to hear: Facebook Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp have all been deleted as pre-installed apps. You are free to reinstall them from Google Play, of course, so there should be no qualms about that.
