NVIDIA drops Android 6.0.1 update onto the SHIELD K1 Tablet

NVIDIA has started rolling out an update to its SHIELD Tablet K1 which brings quite a new features with it. Most notably, the update brings the Vulkan API which allows for games to access the GPU more efficiently, providing for a better gaming experience.
Additionally, the update bumps the SHIELD Tablet K1 from Android 6.0 to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. This portion of the upgrade brings the Doze feature to help preserve battery life when the device is in sleep mode, as well as additional power optimizations.
As for the rest of the changes, here’s what’s new:

Double Tap Power Button to launch SHIELD Camera app
Do Not Disturb Until Next Alarm

Adds memory compression enhancement
Improved Wi-Fi connectivity when waking from sleep
Fixed Compass functionality
Fixed Gamepad Mapper issues
Fixed issues with moving apps to SD card
Fixed Doom 3 HDMI output issue
Repositioned Lasso Capture icons in landscape mode
