With just a day to go before the official unveiling, a big, fresh pot of HTC 10 rumors have been run across the desk today. Let’s dive right in.

  • First thing’s first: mentions of the device were prematurely placed on HTC’s website. While there were no images and little info to be had, they company had the device up as the “HTC 10,” effectively confirming the name we’ve heard about in prior rumors.
  • Oh, and new information from a leaked camera sample  suggests HTC has 2 “HTC 10” devices on the way. A supposed “HTC 10 Lifestyle” has been tipped. It’s not yet known if this device is a straight up HTC 10 variant, whether it’s in the same performance tier as the flagship HTC 10, and whether HTC will even announce the device at their event tomorrow.
  • Finally, GSM HelpDesk (who leaked the images above) claims to have some new information regarding specs. The Netherlands publication suggests the HTC 10 will have a 12-megapixel OIS f/1.8 “UltraPixel” sensor on the rear. The camera is said to be able to record up to 4K video and can snap photos in RAW format. Even more interesting is the front camera — that 5MP component is also said to have OIS and an aperture of f/1.8, 2 marks we don’t often see for front-facing cameras.
  • Other details rumored include a 5.2-inch Super LCD 5 display at 2560 x 1440 resolution, USB Type-C, a 3,000mAh battery, Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of storage, Dolby-enhanced hi-fi BoomSound when using headphones and stereo speakers that rival the HTC One M9. We’ve heard much of this in previous rumors, but it’s always nice to see corroboration.

That sounding like a device worthy of the massive assault of hype HTC is throwing our way? It sure does on paper, but we’ll opt to wait until tomorrow before we make any declarations. Let us know how you feel by dropping a comment below.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.
