Kingdom Hearts Unchained X is now available on Google Play [VIDEO]

We still have quite a bit of time before Kingdom Hearts 3 is officially released and if you’re looking to kill some time until then, Kingdom Hearts Unchained X is now officially available for Android. Technically, it launched in back in September of last year but only for Japan — and was available as a browser game back years before that — so this is the first time North American Android users can finally enjoy it on their devices.

The 8th the eighth installment of the franchise, Kingdom Hearts X — now known as Unchained X — is a prologue in the series, telling a story of what lead up to the Keyblade Wars. It’s presented in a unique, pop-up story book visual style, one that fits perfectly on mobile. Gameplay is a bit different from previous titles, with a turn-based battle system that revolves around collecting cards (medals) and using them in battle to gain even better, more powerful cards. Players can go it alone, or team up with other players to take down powerful bosses. Here’s what we’re looking at:

According to Square Enix, the initial download size on the Google Play Store starts off as 700MB, but when all is said and done, Kingdom Hearts Unchained X will require a full 1.1GB of space on your phone’s internal storage if you’re looking to play.
