Yesterday was Microsoft’s annual BUILD conference for developers. Cortana, Microsoft’s digital assistant app, was the topic of discussion for a good portion of the event. Microsoft took the time to show off some exciting new features that will be coming to the Cortana app on Android.
One of the biggest new features will be the ability to sync notifications across devices. This is something we’ve seen with third-party apps like Pushbullet. If you switch between devices a lot, you know how annoying it can be to see duplicate notifications all day. Cortana will also allow you to reply to SMS messages from your Windows 10 PC. Once again, this is a feature we’ve seen from apps like Pushbullet.
Microsoft continues to push Cortana to be one of the most powerful digital assistant apps. With these upcoming features for Android, Microsoft is doing what people have been begging Google to do for years. Blending the gap between phone and PC, and making the transition seamless. Do you use Cortana?
