OnePlus prepares for OnePlus 2 Marshmallow rollout with a public test build

OnePlus today announced that the OnePlus 2’s OxygenOS 3.0 is close to finish. The upgrade — which is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow — has been in a small soak test for a few weeks now, but this latest build is open to anyone and everyone with a OnePlus 2 and willing to manually flash the goods.

The company referred to the build as “daily-driver-material,” meaning you’re not likely to stumble upon any experience-breaking bugs. Still, there are a few more things to polish and they’re looking for some feedback, mainly reports about camera issues, stability/performance and battery life, and network performance.

One last thing: it’s possible to flash it over your current build without wiping, but only in the Oxygen recovery and only if that build is OxygenOS 2.2.0 or higher. Knowing all that, get your download right here and have fun!
