Verizon Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are receiving a software update to fix WiFi connectivity issues
If you have a Samsung Galaxy S7 or Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge on Verizon, a new software update is now rolling out now that should fix any difficulties you’ve had connecting — and staying connected — to WiFi.
According to Verizon, the updates will be arriving as software version number MMB29M.G930VVRU2APB5 for S7 and MMB29M.G935VVRU2APB5 for the S7 edge, and improves WiFi connectivity. Here’s the small changelog which :
- Trouble connecting to the internet
- Frequent data disconnections
- Problems while loading files or web pages
Verizon also mentions Android security updates being included in the updates, but it seems the Android security patch level is still showing the previous February date. We’re not sure what’s up with that, but if WiFi has been causing you trouble, you can manually check for the update by jumping into Settings > About device > Download updates manually. Cheers.
