OnePlus won’t tell you the OnePlus 3 is in the works, but it is, of course. And someone’s bound to have a prototype in their hands. A supposed Antutu benchmark shows some of the specs we might be treated to once the device is eventually unveiled (which common sense suggests will happen this year).
According to the benchmark, the device will come with the types of specs which would earn it a “flagship killer” moniker, including a 16MP camera (8MP front), 1080p resolution, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset, and 4GB of RAM.
Of course, we’d have to know a lot more to determine whether OnePlus is poised to hit another home run this time. Their unpopular decision to exclude an NFC chip is best not repeated, for starter. Unfortunately, supposedly leaked renders say the fingerprint scanner could be out. We’ll also have to see whether the quality on that 16MP camera sensor is more than just acceptable.
