The HTC 10’s April 12th reveal date will have a lot of details or us to take in. One of those details is bound to be release expectations, and HTC could already have settled on an exact date to let folks buy it.
A new rumor from ePrice suggests the device will go on sale as soon as April 15th in its home country of Taiwan. It’s not unusual for HTC to launch devices very shortly after they’re announced, with the HTC One M8 on Verizon going up for sale the very same day it was launched.
It’s also the likeliest reason the company is usually late to the Spring announcement train than everyone else. We’ll never know the exact thinking behind their closed doors, of course, but we imagine it has something to do with not letting the hype train fade away, especially when their competitors’ phones will have been on the market for a good amount of time and readily available by then. Fingers crossed that Taiwanese folks aren’t the only ones who’ll be able to buy the phone that day if this rumor pans out.
