For a while now, we’ve been able to see information about Uber rides in Google Maps. You can type in your destination and see how much an Uber would cost, right inside the Maps app. It works very well and can be incredibly handy. The only problem is there are a bunch of other great ride-sharing services besides Uber. Google is expanding to include more of them.
Google has added 5 more international ride-sharing services to Maps. The new services include 99Taxis in Brazil, Ola Cabs in India, Hailo in the UK and Spain, mytaxi in Germany and Spain, and Gett in the UK. Results from these services will not appear in Google Maps, assuming you have their apps installed on your phone as well. These new services will arrive starting today in the respective countries.
Have you ever used Google Maps to get a ride from Uber?
