Earlier this week, Sony started rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for a number of devices. Today, Sony is showing off what Marshmallow can do on these devices and the upcoming Xperia X series. The Sony Xperia YouTube channel has posted a 1-minute long overview of the Marshmallow update.
The video showcases granular app permissions, improved camera software, an easier to use photo gallery, and new keyboard features. The video also lists a bunch of new features not showed in the video, such as a new home screen, WiFi calling, Google Now on Tap, Doze Mode, and all the other Marshmallow goodies.
We’ve always been fans of Sony’s lightweight approach to Android customization. Hopefully, we will see the new Xperia X series come to store shelves in the US. Have you ever used a Sony Android phone? How do you feel about their software?
