T-Mobile customers with the LG G Stylo will be happy to hear that the company is now pushing out Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the device. T-Mobile didn’t go into grave detail about the changes, but that’s mostly because the changelog closely mirrors the standard changelog for Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
We do know that it’s coming in as build H63120b, though, and that it’ll come in a file size of about 767MB. Getting it over-the-air will subject you to a staggered rollout as T-Mobile says it’ll show up anytime between March 7th and March 21st.
There’s a chance you can force the OTA by checking Settings > General > About Phone > Update Center > System Update > Check for Update. If that’s not working for you T-Mobile also claims to have a wireline update process to do it from your PC, though the page where you’ll be able to find the software isn’t functional as of the time of this writing.
If you don’t remember, T-Mobile also started shipping out Marshmallow for the HTC One M8. That particular device is seeing it as 6.20.531.5 and a 1.14GB download. T-Mobile didn’t mention any staggering dates for this one, and there won’t be any download links available, either. To check, head to Settings > About > Software Update > Check Now.
Both these updates are fairly big in size so you’ll probably want to hop on WiFi and get your battery charged a good amount (the usual recomendation is 50%) before you pull it down. Let us know how the updates are treating you if you’re able to get them!
