All the noise from Samsung, LG and all the other players at Mobile World Congress is starting to settle, so HTC thought it was a good time to go ahead and start drumming up some noise of their own. The company has started sending out teasers with the simple words “Power of 10” on a dark background.
We know the company is due to launch a new flagship in the weeks ahead, and that flagship’s name is rumored to be — you guessed it — HTC One M10. The timing makes sense as previous rumors suggested we wouldn’t hear anything from HTC regarding their 2016 flagship until March.
The teaser image doesn’t show much aside from what looks to be a metal edge of a device. We’d fully expect metal for any flagship by now, of course, and with HTC having done it for 3 years strong the HTC One M10 should be no exception. The line in the photo does look like it could be the same chamfered metal edge we saw in an HTC One M10 photo that leaked not long ago.
Rumored HTC One M10 specs include a 5.2-inch AMOLED display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a fingerprint scanner. There also seems to be an area below the device’s dual-toned flash for an infrared port.
HTC says the One M10 will be completely different compared to the One M9, and while we’re still not exactly sure what that means (@evleaks’ original sugggestion was that it’d be a lot like the HTC One A9) we’d say we’re hearing and seeing enough different to think HTC is telling the truth. Let’s hope to hear something more next month!
