A series of tweets by @evleaks and @LlabTooFer turned up with some information regarding a possible mid-range offering from HTC, dubbed the HTC A16. The first tweet from @evleaks was one with six images that show off six different variants for the same device. The images suggest HTC is back to their chin-heavy roots with this device having the icon bar below the screen and the capacitive touch buttons.
The second tweet, a few hours later, by @LlabTooFer was a spec sheet for the same device that @evleaks had shown off earlier in the day. Here’s what the supposed HTC A16 may be bringing everyone:
- Display: 5″ 720p (HD)
- Processor: MSM8909 Snapdragon 210
- Cameras: 8MP Main 5MP Front
- RAM: 1.5GB
- Storage: 8GB with MicroSD support
- Battery: 2200mAh
This spec sheet isn’t impressive if you think it’s going to be a flagship, but thankfully that shouldn’t be the case. So let’s throw another entrance into the mid-range and budget-friendly devices, while being released under HTC’s Desire series of devices. Neither @evleaks nor @LlabTooFer has given any indication as to when this device will even be announced, but it will more than likely be sooner rather than later.
