PayPal 6.0 brings an completely overhauled UI, fingerprint sensor support for Marshmallow devices
Starting tomorrow, PayPal will reportedly begin rolling out a big new update to their Android app. Arriving in version 6.0, the entire app has been redesigned and while it looks great, feels like it was catered more toward an “iOS look” than an Android one. Apparently, it was built upon “faster, more reliable services,” so you should be able to expect an all around more responsive app. Here’s what else is new:
- A more detailed activity view with a number of quick actions that include: accept/deny payments, pay pending requests, send another payment, or view history with specific merchant.
- New home page to quickly navigate to top tasks and discover other new features
- Ability to request money from friends and family
- Ability to view and update your personal information
- Option to sign up for a new PayPal account
- Send money to recent/frequent contacts quickly
- Marshmallow fingerprint login (although seemingly not available in this build)
We’d have a ton more screenshots for you but unfortunately, the app doesn’t allow you to snap them (you know, security and all that). Again, the update is expected to hit the Play Store tomorrow and you can either wait, or download/install the update via 3rd party sources.
