Motorola Moto X Pure Edition DSC09960

Motorola’s 48-hour promo offers free Moto 360 1st Gen w/ Moto X Pure Edition purchase

We’re about the see the launch of a new round of Android smartphones in a few weeks time, but if dropping upwards of $700+ on a new device just isn’t feasible, you may want to consider some perfectly capable 2015 handsets instead. Those of you that had your eye on the Motorola Moto X Pure Edition, a new promo gets you a free Motorola Moto 360 1st Gen when buying the 64GB version of the phone. Priced at $500 for the Moto X Pure Edition 64GB, that’s not a terrible deal. It’s still one of the best devices you can buy for the money.

While the Moto X has aged very gracefully since its release, we can’t exactly say the same for the Moto 360 1st Gen. Sure, it still looks great (although some may not like the “hockey puck” design), but a severely under powered TI OMAP processor really makes for an all around clunky Android Wear experience. Might be better off waiting for Motorola to throw in the 2nd Gen at a big discount and skipping this promo. Then again, if you were going to buy the phone anyway, you can’t beat free.

The deal is only good for the next 48 hours and ends Feb. 18th at 10:59 a.m. CT. You’ll need to add both devices to your cart before the discount will be applied. Links to both provided down below.
