HTC’s upcoming smartwatch could launch before the end of April

0

HTC’s has reportedly been toying around with the idea of a smartwatch for some time now. Rather than rush into things (we’re not sure the company could afford to fail with another product launch after the HTC One M9 and HTC Re), they chose instead to hold back, waiting until the climate was right before striking. We initially heard the watch would launch late last year, then we saw that date continually slip into an early 2016 timeline.

As so often is the case with this elusive smartwatch, it appears now the HTC-made “watch” could be out sometime before the end of April. That’s if @evleaks updated timeline is to be believed. Other than design, it will be interesting to see what HTC pulls out of their hat. With critics calling the HTC One A9 a blatant iPhone clone yet still proving to be a moderate success for the company, we can’t help but wonder if an Apple Watch clone would be the next logical move.
