Starbucks’ app will now tell you which song is playing in their store
Ever walk into a Starbucks app and were curious about the tunes playing on their speakers? While it’s been easy enough to ask Google or Shazaam to identify the song, it isn’t always convenient (and noisy patrons could make it hard for the apps to properly decode the song).
Well, Starbucks wants to change that. Their app can now show you which songs are playing at whichever Starbucks you’re currently visiting. What’s more is that Spotify users will be able to instantly save the song to their library if they want to check it out later on.

Taking it a step further, you can download entire Starbucks playlists, and liking a songs within Starbucks playlists gives the company feedback and they’ll use it to shape future playlists.
It’s not a huge feature, but it’s these little quirky, personal touches that add up to make Starbucks a favorite morning destination for many. Starbucks says the feature is available in more than 7,500 of their US stores starting today, and all you need to do is make sure you have the latest version of their app. You can grab it here from Google Play.
