Hands-on: Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 4 runs stock Marshmallow poorly

CES has become a place for smaller phone manufacturers to show off new devices. One such manufacturer is Alcatel. Every year at CES they show off a bunch of new Androids. This year they have the Pixi 4, a series of devices in varying sizes.

The Pixi 4 comes in three different sizes: 3.5-inch, 4-inch, and 6-inch. We used the 6-inch model in our hands-on video above, but all three models are more or less the same. The most notable feature of the devices is Android 6.0 Marshmallow. All three launch with a near stock version of Google’s latest.

The 6-inch model is the best of the bunch. It has a 720p IPS display, 8MP camera, 8GB of storage, and the Snapdragon 210 processor. If you’re thinking the Pixi 4 will a sluggish phone you would be correct. Performance is not great, but these devices will be dirt cheap. Alcatel did not provide pricing at this time.
