LG announces K7, K10 smartphones for CES 2016

LG will debut its K Series of smartphones at this year’s CES, which kicks off this week in Las Vegas. Two new devices will be on display, the LG K7 and LG K10. Both are budget-minded models that seek to recreate some of the more premium design and UX elements of LG’s more costly handsets, one of the key elements that will underpin the entire K Series of devices.

The K7 and K10 will be LG’s first devices to utilize what is being called their “glossy pebble” design language. Utilizing smooth curves and LG’s 2.5D Arc Glass, the phones are positioned to appeal to younger audiences. The K10 is the slightly bigger of the two at 5.3 inches, but the K7 is right behind with its 5.0-inch display. The K10 also features a boosted 13MP camera compared to the K7’s 8MP shooter.

Popular features from other LG handsets have migrated to the K Series, including Gesture Shot and Gesture Interval Shot, rounding out a smartphone experience that is designed to be deceptively inexpensive. Full specs for both devices follow.
