Sony’s Xperia Z6 family is said to be getting a ton of members, and another one may have been discovered today. Mobile-Dad reports that Sony is working on the Sony Xperia Z6 Lite, which would be a mid-range option for those who don’t like spending big bucks on smartphones.
The biggest evidence of it being slotted into that market segment is its Snapdragon 650 chipset (it used to be known as the Snapdragon 618 before Qualcomm changed its name for seemingly no reason) it’ll supposedly sport. It’s also said to be getting a 5-inch display and a metal exterior. All of that is expected to come in at a sub-$400 price point.
There aren’t any other known details at this time, but if Sony’s going to launch this thing it would make sense for it to happen up against the 5 other Xperia Z6 devices they’re said to be planning.
