HTC One X9 official: 5.5-inch 1080p display, Octa-Core Helio X10 chipset, 3GB of RAM and more

After weeks of leaks, the HTC One X9 is now official. The device is being aimed at the Chinese market to start, with folks over there looking forward to a 5.5-inch 1080p device with specs that read out more like a flagship handset than the mid-range price tag it dons.

For starters, you’re getting MediaTek’s Helio X10 chipset, a 64-bit Octa-Core kit which should be able to handle a modern Android experience quite effectively. Coupled with 32GB of storage (expandable by up to 128GB thanks to a microSD slot) and 3GB of RAM it should have no problems with any tasks you throw its way.

For camera, we’ve got a 13 megapixel OIS rear shooter that’s accompanied by an UltraPixel sensor on the flip side. There’s a 3,000mAh battery to power it all, to boot.

The One X9 is poised to be a fair bit more affordable than the HTC One A9, with its price tag starting at the equivalent of $370. That price tag could look a tad cheaper by the time it reaches other markets, though HTC hasn’t even addressed whether it’ll stretch outside of China’s shores.
