NVIDIA has announced that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow rollout for their SHIELD Tablet K1 has now commenced. They’re calling this Software Upgrade version 1.0, which makes sense as this is the first major SHIELD Tablet K1 update since its introduction.

Plus, there’s all the stuff standard to Marshmallow such as Google Now on Tap, Doze Mode and the ability to use microSD cards as internal storage. Speaking of that last bit, make sure you backup the content on your microSD card if you opt to use it as internal storage, as the system will format the card and wipe all its data. The update weighs in at 665MB, so be sure to get an early start on downloading it so you can enjoy some Marshmallow goodness by the end of the day.
