Since unveiling the HTC Vive during Mobile World Congress early this year, HTC’s been teasing one of the most exciting advancements to VR the world has ever seen. You could regular find HTC and their traveling Vive truck outside the hottest events and venues, giving anyone a free demo while blowing minds in the process.
Today, the Vive has finally gotten a much more solid launch date with HTC mentioning in a new blog post that they’ll soon have 7,000 developer units sent out in time for CES, before it’s official big April 2016 consumer release. The VR headset has slipped a bit from HTC’s original 2015/Q1 2016 plans, but now that they’ve finally committed to the month in which we’ll see it launch, we can finally worry about other things. You know, like how much this thing is going to cost.
