Nexus-6

The Nexus 6 is no longer available from the Google Store [RIP]

It had a good run, but after launching a little over a year ago, it seems Google is finally ready to move on from the Nexus 6. Officially replaced by Huawei’s Nexus 6P — the crown jewel of Nexus devices — the regular 6’s Google Store listing is now showing the phone as “no longer available for purchase.”

Which is fine really. You can still find the 6 heavily discounted from a variety of 3rd party retailers, sometimes as low as $350. If you really had your heart set on the Nexus phablet, you can even grab it direct from the manufacturer where Motorola is still selling it for $500 (we’d recommend searching elsewhere, or just going with the Nexus 6P).

Keep in mind that just because Google is no longer selling the phone, doesn’t mean they’re no longer supporting it. The Nexus 6 still has a long life ahead of it where it will continue receiving Android updates for the foreseeable future.

It was a phone for a different kinda folk. The kind who like their phones big — real big — and the Nexus 6 will be truly missed.
