Watch the NFL’s New England Patriots practice in virtual reality [VIDEO]
Visa and the New England Patriots have teamed up to bring a very awesome VR experience. This video takes you inside a live no-pads practice, giving us a fly-on-the-wall look at drills and walkthrough plays as the team prepares for their upcoming football game.
The video can be viewed inside a Google Cardboard headset for maximum immersion. Watch as the quarterbacks whiz footballs right past your head, and see if you can turn your head in time to see where the ball ends up going. Get a 360-degree look at the offense and defense from every angle. There’s even a nice shot of the lock room as players are walking through.
Don’t have cardboard? You don’t have to be left out. Viewing this video on your Android phone lets you experience the 360-degree video by turning around or looking up and down. Even those on a computer will not be left out with virtual controls to rotate the action, though it’s not nearly as intuitive as viewing on your phone or within Google Cardboard. Even if you aren’t a big football fan it’s a pretty cool video to give you yet another unique perspective into a world which most of us will probably never experience ourselves. Check it out above.
