Can you trust the cloud enough to maintain copies of your photos? If you can, the latest Google Photos update will be a godsend for you. Google has introduced a feature which makes it easy for you to clear up storage space on your phone.
There’s a button in Settings called “Free Up Space” which will delete any local copies of photos that have already been backed up to Google Photos. Alternatively, you can have Google Photos automatically delete local copies of photos that have been backed up after 30 days.
The changes are headed out now through a Google Play update, so be sure to check for it on your phone if it’s something you’ve been waiting for.
