15-minutes of Turbo Charging with the DROID TURBO 2 & MAXX 2
The Motorola Droid TURBO 2 and Motorola Droid MAXX 2 have been hailed by Verizon Wireless as battery life saviors, each sporting huge batteries that promise 48-hours of battery life. And when you’re running low you need not worry: Motorola claims that 15-minutes of charging will earn you 8 to 13 hours of battery life.
Will it? Let’s see… we ran the battery of each phone to 0%, set them up side-by-side, and got ready to watch a charging race.
Doing some math:
- Both devices (theoretically) get 48 hours of battery life
- Droid Maxx 2 = .18(battery) x 48(hours) = 8.64 hours in 15 minutes
- Droid Turbo 2 = .3(battery) x 48(hours) = 14.4 hours in 15 minutes
We doubt you’ll truly get 8 to 15 hours out of these percentages, but you WILL get a significant amount of battery life that is downright impressive. Not only is the battery life amazing, but you can refill it in what seems like the snap of a finger.
Now let’s see if the battery will really last for 48-hours when it’s charged to 100%!
