LG-G4

Android 6.0 Marshmallow started rolling out to the LG G4 last week…in Poland. LG is testing the rollout in a small market to prepare for the major release. Unfortunately, that means we have to wait a little longer to get in the rest of the world. The good news is the folks at XDA have been working on the ROM, and now it is available to download.

The stock firmware can be downloaded below, but there are a few important things to note first. This firmware is only for the international unlocked model (H815). If you have that model, you must also have the bootloader unlocked and TWRP 2.8.7+ installed. You can unlock the G4 with LG’s official unlock tool here.

If you’re comfortable with this sort of thing be sure to follow the instructions. Otherwise, we recommend waiting a little longer for the OTA update files. We’ll have s’more info soon.
