Samsung Galaxy S7 might feature a USB Type-C port [RUMOR]

Samsung usually likes to pull out all the stops when it comes to their flagship launches, so we weren’t surprised to learn they may be looking to include a USB Type-C port on the Samsung Galaxy S7. That much comes from SamMobile, anyway, who has insider information on the plans.

A USB Type-C cable would not only bring back fast charging as standard (fast charging is currently available in Samsung’s 2015 flagships), but also allows faster data transfers than USB 3.0. It also means we can use reversible USB cables, so there’s no more fiddling around to figure out which way the cable goes in.

It’s always safe to assume Samsung will at least adopt industry standards for their flagships, and we expect them to go a bit beyond that if at all possible. The company is also said to be working with Synaptics to bring pressure sensitive displays to the Galaxy S7, so expect the phone to have everything you could possibly want in a 2016 flagship when it arrives (which some say could happen as early as February 2016).
